Gen. Langley visits West and North African partners

Gen. Langley, meeting with partners in North and West Africa from Feb. 6-11, 2023, continued his trip in Algeria by meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Algeria Elizabeth Moore Aubin. The U.S. employs a whole-of-government approach to ensure security cooperation with Algeria counters violent extremism and supports peace in the region.

During stops to visit with host nation civilian and military leaders, Langley met President Macky Sall, Minister of Defense Sidiki Kaba, and Gen. Cheikh Wade, chief of staff for the Armed Forces of Senegal, and partner forces at Maison Militaire to discuss security partnership and see how Senegal forces are prepared to meet shared challenges.
