Marines will be postured to respond to a broad range of military operations in Africa Command, including U.S. Embassy reinforcement, fixed-site security, and humanitarian assistance, among others.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Vincent Biruta, who signed the Agreement on behalf of Rwanda noted that the signed Agreement is broader than the existing one.
