Zambia’s Minister of Defense visits AFRICOM Headquarters
The command welcomed the delegation as the nation continues regional peace and security. Zambia is a security leader in the region, participating in both the SADC Mission in Mozambique and MINUSCA. Since 2014, the U.S. has invested over $9 million in assistance for pre-deployment training for Zambian Battalions supporting MINUSCA. Meetings like this one help us explore other areas security cooperation can be expanded.
