2011 Technology Forum and Exposition to be held April 15 The 2011 Technology Forum and Exposition will be held April 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Swabian Special Events Center on Patch Barracks. Registration is from 8-9 a.m. and a networking event is scheduled from 4-5 p.m. The expo, designed for personnel from U.S. European Command and U.S. Africa Command, will showcase technology systems and tools, and feature education sessions. Entrance is free. (Information for this news brief was provided by U.S. Africa Command Communications Team) ********************************************* Three-hour Esso outage scheduled for April 18 All Esso systems will be out of operation from 10 p.m. April 18 to 1 a.m. April 19 while AAFES performs data base maintenance. The outage will affect on and off-base fueling, account inquiry, authorizations, and card issuance and fuel purchasing. The outage is expected to last approximately three hours; however, services could be restored earlier than expected. Ticket packages are available, including a bus ride with FMWR, game ticket, fan bag and bus refreshments. Single tickets are also available. Package tickets cost $120 per adult, $95 per youth age 17 and under, as of June 26. Single tickets cost $80 per adult, $55 per youth. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis at Outdoor Recreation on Panzer Kaserne (Building 2953) beginning April 18. To date, the Stuttgart Tax Center has processed over $4 million in tax returns, and has saved local taxpayers over $300,000 in filing fees. After April 15, service will be by appointment only, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The tax center is closed on federal holidays.
