June 28 to July 7 has been designated Armed Forces Voters Week and Overseas Citizens Voters Week to encourage all citizens voting under the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act who have not registered to vote or requested an absentee ballot this year, to do so.

One-third of U.S. senators and representatives, and many state and local officials are up for reelection this year. Many state primary elections will be held soon, and the general election will be held Nov. 2.

It is important that service members and civilians have the opportunity to get involved in the election process and vote using the absentee process.

Voting assistance is available at the Panzer shopping mall through July 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

To register to vote and/or request an absentee ballot, visit the Federal Voting Assistance Program website at www.fvap.gov. An online registration request wizard makes the process fast and easy.

For more information, contact your unit Voting Assistance Officer or the Installation VAO, Cliff Heisler, at 431-2745/civ. 07031-15-2745, cliff.heisler@eur.army.mil.

"Honor the past, support the future - vote!"
