The Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) in Teshie, in collaboration with the U.S. African Command (AFRICOM) is organizing a workshop themed "Peacekeeping Operations and Peace Enforcement Operations Lessons Learned" in Accra from Tuesday, 29 April to Thursday, 1 May 2008, at the KAIPTC.
This workshop demonstrates AFRICOM's assistance to African partner nations by their efforts to enhance the capabilities of African Standby Forces, by helping them establish processes for capturing their Peacekeeping Operations (PKO) as well as Peace enforcement Operations (PEO).
The workshop comprises representatives from 10 African countries who will share the lessons learned in Peacekeeping Operations particularly from recent African deployments. These lessons learned will be fused into the training in institutions like the KAIPTC.
