AFRICOM recently hosted the Joint Staff 2024 Acquisition and Cross-Servicing Agreement (ACSA) Worldwide Workshop, a key event in the Joint Logistics Enterprise calendar. The three-day symposium, held at the AFRICOM Event Center, ran from Tuesday, July 30th, to Thursday, August 1st, 2024. The event brought together over 75 Strategic ACSA Program Managers from across the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Services, and various Agencies.

Themed "ACSA: Enabling the Warfighter," this year’s workshop focused on addressing the challenges posed by contested logistics and highlighted how ACSA programs serve as a critical risk management tool to enhance Joint Warfighter capability. Through enablement strategies, participants explored innovative solutions to improve logistics in increasingly complex and contested environments.

Two major initiatives formed the cornerstone of this year's discussions:

1. The recent publication of CJCSI 2120.01E on July 19, which supersedes the previous .01D version dated May 21, 2015. This updated instruction provides new guidance and policies for ACSA programs.

2. The integration of Host Nation access to the Acquisition and Cross-Servicing Agreement Global Automated Tracking and Reporting System (AGATRS), the official system of record as outlined in the new CJCSI and DOD 700.14R.

The workshop provided a valuable platform for strategic ACSA stakeholders to share insights, best practices, and collaborative approaches to enhance the effectiveness of logistics support for the Joint Warfighter. Attendees engaged in in-depth discussions and networking opportunities aimed at reinforcing the role of ACSA programs in supporting global military operations.
